Description

"Up above the highest castles and clouds reside the thunder dragons. Only two thunder dragons have been seen in the wild and they reportedly measured at around 4 "mighty old castle walls" in height (probably around 40 meters), their weight is unknown. Only two mountains are known to exist that are high enough to be favorable nesting spots for thunder dragons, one that is next to the borders of the Iren kingdom and the other on the south west corner of the wetlands. These dragons have an unknown migration schedule where they leave their mountain to an unknown place and return after a few days. Only one of these dragons have been seen by our researchers, and this was during one of the attempts to kill one of them, which ended in disaster. This aforementioned researcher observed one of these dragons during the battle and noticed that they have the ability to levitate metallic objects, emit lethal doses of electricity from their bodies and create thunderstorms. Despite their Size, thunder dragons are very docile creatures unless approached provokingly. This has lead to some astronomers using the same spots where thunder dragons reside for stargazing purposes, for these spots open up a magnificent view for those daring enough to climb on top of these mountains.

Information about thunder dragons combat capabilities is lackluster and most of the information is from one conflict where we sent some 110 mercs to fight one thunder dragon. One tactic that the dragon is known to use is that it would grab hold of equipment that was made out of steel, and strike lightning into the person wearing this equipment, effectively paralyzing their body and thus unable to discard this metallic equipment. Whilst shocking the person it would raise them off of the ground and then drop them from a fatal height. This would mean that the victim would either burn to a crisp from the electricity or die from the fall, in most cases, both of these occurrences were witnessed on the same person. Little less is known about their combat capabilities, since nobody has gotten close enough to it whilst it is provoked. Some of our mercenaries got a few shots from their bows during the big conflict and successfully hit the dragon, causing no visible damage to its hide. After this these mercenaries were quickly stripped from their steel tipped arrowheads, causing these mercs to flee. Needless to say steel tipped arrows aren't the best possible choice. Some 40 mercs were lost in the battle, the rest of the mercs ~70 left halfway through the mountain climb, because it was reportedly "nipple freezing cold", using scientific methods our researchers confirmed, that the temperature was indeed "nipple freezing cold".

Due to the hostile weather conditions in the places where these dragons live, they are extremely hard to fight against, for you would be most likely facing an uphill battle against a creature that can strip you from your weapons and kill you in an instant. Although, we did a test with one merc where he would try to face off against a thunder dragon with only obsidian gear on him. Turns out obsidian isn't a really good for thermal insulation, he was found frozen 400 meters up the mountain, huh, well the more you know. In another test we outfitted a merc with obsidian gear that was coated with acid dragons hide and we put a hefty layer of thick clothing beneath his armor. The merc didn't even get to the mountain, since when we gave him the gear he stabbed one of our researchers and ran off with his gear. Last research we conducted was a merc equipped with padded leather gear and a wooden sword (Note: the sword was very pointy and sharp, someone toyed around with it and pricked their finger on it). The merc got up to the mountaintop and did in fact get to stab the dragon with his sword. results were unsavory, the merc tried to kill the dragon for 2 days and was later found dead on top of the mountain, the most likely cause of death was undernourishment.

Thunder dragons have no known weaknesses as far as we know...we tried! We don't even know how hard their hide and scales are since we haven't even been able to try, we only know that steel arrows don't penetrate its hide. Much like with other dragons I'll just say that use obsidian or something since it's the hardest material around.

Due to the grandiose size and overpowering abilities the thunder dragons have some people have taken up to create cults around them. These cults are mostly forbidden and frowned upon by most folk and they are very hidden from plain sight. If one would turn out to be a part of one of these cults they would face execution, ironically the person is usually executed with lethal doses of electricity."

I gotta say that I messed up at few spots on this one and I'm not completely happy how this turned out, but I had to stop somewhere before I would mess it up even more D:
