Agglomeration

This one is about one of my old characters that (I decided to turn) happened to turn into one of the amalgamate, if you remember the character you get a brownie point! Also a nice backstory for this written by the awesome

Fin made his way through the snow, tail and arms wrapped around him. He may have been a frost dragon, and was resistant to the cold, but that didn’t mean extreme temperatures didn’t get to him, and it was well below freezing by this point. The freezing wind and snowfall weren’t helping much either. Fin couldn’t remember the reason he’d left home, and he didn’t know why he was still trudging through the cold instead of turning back.

He walked for another hour, the cold wind not abating at all, before finally coming upon a cave. The entrance was dark, but it was certainly better than walking through the blizzard. Fin made his way inside without a second thought, despite the voice in the back of his head telling him to turn back and go home. The cave was chilly, but was at least twenty degrees warmer than outside, and it got warmer the deeper Fin went.

Fin didn’t pay any attention to the strange glowing plants on the wall. He just kept going; the voice of caution telling him to get the hell out of the cave, but Fin ignored it, something driving him forward. It wasn’t long before the ground became sticky, and Fin had a harder time moving forward, as though he was trying to walk through syrup. He made it a few more steps before he couldn’t move anymore, his feet stuck and sinking into the tar-like substance the covered the floor and walls.

Part of him panicked, but it was overwhelmed by other positive emotions. Fin felt like this was good, like it was the right thing. He wasn’t afraid, and didn’t struggle as he sank completely beneath the surface, leaving the cave as empty as it had been a few minutes ago, no sign, other than the quickly disappearing footprints outside, that Fin had ever been here.

A few minutes later, the oil began to bubble, and a form began to rise. First its back, and then it tore its arms from the viscous oil. Its head formed, and a tail rose out of the tar behind it. The creature stood, dark purple tendrils, with lighter purple ones on the end, glowing on its head, shoulders, back and tail. This thing looked similar to Fin, but not at the same time. There were large claws coming out of its forearms, and a second pair of clawed arms coming off its back.

The creature admired its new form, and was now ready to do the hives bidding.
